The sale, with a strong following from both commercial prime lamb producers and Poll Dorset stud breeders ended in an average of $1573 – one of the highest averages of the Poll Dorset sale season posted so far. Great result with 100% clearance of the 178 rams offered.
Nine Stud rams sold to a top of $9,000 and averaged $3,300 and 169 selected flock rams topped at $2,500 to average $1481.
The top priced stud ram Lot 1 Aberdeen 374-13 was bought by Verge Pastoral Co, Euroa.
This is Aberdeen’s most successful sale result to date.
